The exquisite corpse is an exercise started by the surrealists. You write a couple of lines on a piece of paper and fold it over so that the next writer only sees the last line. Loosely, the idea is that none of us individually knows where we are going but collectively we are all headed in the same direction... So we thought we'd share a couple so that you could read the direction we headed the other night. Drinking and writing can be very entertaining...

WHAT IS IT: A 6 week series of spoken word to be performed at the Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing AND a publication in the literary magazine, ALEHOUSE NARRATIVES®
WHEN DOES IT START: We are taking submissions now!
CATEGORIES: Personal Anecdotes, Poems, Short Stories, Creative Non-fiction, Essays, Humor
GUIDELINES: 5$ entry fee (buys you a beer at the brewery if you are over 21). Must be no longer than 5 pages single-spaced. 8 entries will be chosen for readings. Each reader should prepare for 5-10 minutes. One reading will be selected for prize and publication.
